Providence County is composed of Providence, Woonsocket, East Providence, North Providence, Pawtucket, Cranston, Central Falls, Cumberland, Situate, Smithfield, North Smithfield, Lincoln, Burriville, Foster, Gloster, and Johnston. This county is in the northern part of the state, just south of Massachusetts. The eastern part of the county has an urban feel and the western part has a more rural, secluded feel. Providence is home of the Ivy League Brown University and one of the top art schools, Rhode Island School of Design, as well as many other renown schools.
